Description

In this evolved world, two new currencies have become ultra-valuable in the lives of almost everyone: Health and Happiness. For the last decade, Common Good has fought to bring more of both to the world — by growing brands that are on this same mission. Right now, we’re searching for a Copywriter to help us accelerate the climb for the national brands we serve.

As a Copywriter at Common Good, you’ll be responsible for coming up with and creating award-winning work that both creates success for our clients and is respected by our peers. You’ll be guided and inspired by the Creative Director, but you’ll be expected to make everything your own. We operate in a highly collaborative environment, so you’ll be required to take suggestions from others openly and produce your very best work on a daily basis. We’re a company of unique individuals who work as a tight-knit team. Everyone is equally important in making us and — in turn, our clients — well-oiled machines.

Who’s our ideal candidate? We’re looking for a valuable member of our growing team — someone who strives to make great work but also wants to be part of a motivated crew who likes to have fun. Someone who can write in a range of tones for our national base of clients and quickly and accurately turn ideas into advertising that motivates. Conceptual skills are a must, as this position will require thinking on all levels. As an agency that works in every form of media, you’ll be participating in all aspects of our integrated output.

You’ll do:
• Write beautifully crafted copy with story arcs — both long-form and short
• Collaborate with all partners internally and externally to develop creative concepts and strategies for our clients, ensuring your copy aligns seamlessly with campaigns and client needs
• Create and maintain brand voice guidelines: keeping things consistent, concise, persuasive and representative of our mission-driven brands
• Identify powerful creative territories like it's your superpower
• Use your impressive writing chops to create a new tone and feel for brands
• Understanding and mastering the language of great copy throughout multiple platforms, including video, print, digital, social, activations and more
• Ensure consistency and brand integrity across all deliverables, maintaining a high standard of quality and craftsmanship that you’re proud to show off

You’ll have:
• 3+ years of copywriting experience in an agency setting
• Strong conceptual-thinking skills
• A book full of great words and ideas that demonstrate your success
• Tenacity, drive and passion for this line of work — and the confidence to strut your stuff internally and externally
• A fiery and creative collaborative spirit
• An eagle-eye attention to detail, able to easily keep all the plates spinning
• A detail-oriented, meticulous mindset and approach in creating great work that will get people talking
• Commitment to innovation and an up-to-date knowledge of current trends, emerging technologies and best practices in the the agency realm
• A sense of humor and a laid-back, roll-with-the-punches attitude is a need — be ready to work hard (but don’t worry, we consider ourselves champions of work/life balance) with likable people and clients in an energetic company blazing forward
