Infographic: State of the Internet (2012)

/ Comments (0)

If you like to obsess over geeky Internet stats, you’ll love this infographic from onlineuniversities.com.

Under the I’m sure completely unintentionally suggestive banner of “Internet Penetration” is information on the year to year change in unique IP addresses in different countries. As it turns out the biggest change was in Brazil, with 27% new IP addresses.

The inforgraphic also provides information on global average connection speeds, so be prepared to be envious of all the countries (and there are a lot of them) with faster connection speeds than the U.S.’s 5.8 Mbps -- especially South Korea’s scorchingly fast 17.5 Mbps.
