Prepare to be just a little bit more paranoid, thanks to the folks at backgroundcheck.org. 2011 saw 174 million personal records compromised, the second most since Verizon began tracking compromised records back in 2004. This infographic highlights the worst Internet security breaches over the years -- like the July, 2011 leaking of personal information for 35 million South Koreans, last year’s exposure of 77 million Playstation Network accounts, or the spyware attack on Heartland Payment Systems that exposed 134 million credit card accounts. Happy browsing.
