The disconnect between what is happening and those who caused it is astounding! I am all for holding the government and its lax policies accountable through lobbying for solution focused legislative change. As far as I can tell, this is simply not being accomplished by OWS at this time. What is most concerning to me as a person who was initially excited by the OWS movement and am now relegating myself to an observer role, is the voice that is missing: the voice that empowers each individual person in the nation and globally to affect change, but none more so than citizens of the US; personal consumer power and accountability. It is easy to point fingers at corporations, and they do deserve to be pointed out, but what is more difficult and lacking in OWS to date is the reticence to point the finger at one's own habits: consumer habits that have fueled (and continue to fuel) the growth of corporate control and perpetuated this system of inequality. What I am trying to say is that corporate America didn't become this powerful without each of us supporting through our own monetary contributions their rise! It is a symbiotic relationship between the consumer and the corporation, with the government thrown in their to make it even more interesting. If you want to be the change, then be the change, but you simply can't rage credibly and with impact at corporate America while filming the whole interaction on your IPHONE, DROID, etc.
